Twenty years ago, Elisabeth Accardi created a dream come true when she founded Upon A Star Events. A professionally trained actress and musician from New York City, Elisabeth discovered the world of event planning when she landed event jobs (between acting gigs) with FAO Schwarz and Central Park Zoo.
After moving to Boston, Upon A Star became her next venture. Initially opening several music/theatre/art centers in Beacon Hill, Back Bay and Charlestown, Elisabeth ran 40 classes a week for children ages newborn to 12 years. Her musical theatre background brought a distinct level of whimsical joy and creativity to every outing she produced. Eventually her talents were called upon to create a wide variety of high-end events from Birthdays to Mitzvahs, Weddings to large Corporate Events. Her loyal clientele, who have consistently relied on her expertise throughout the years, testify to the creativity, joy and exuberant energy she brings to every occasion.
Elisabeth will handle every aspect of your event from planning to designing to execution. You will be wowed at every turn! EMMA ACCARDI
At 19, Emma is the youngest member of the Upon A Star staff and also happens to be Elisabeth’s daughter. Emma loves spending time with her family and close friends, playing with her 2 dogs baking, skiing and most importantly dancing to her favorite singer: Taylor Swift! Emma attends the University of Vermont and is studying early childhood education. GO CATAMOUNTS!!
DINA BRIGGS
Growing up in a large Italian family of artists, Dina loves celebrating life with food, art and amore and getting messy with media such as clay and charcoal. Did Dina touch up this photo of herself in Photoshop so she’d look slightly younger? Maybe she did? With mad skills in graphic & production arts, Dina is Elisabeth’s go-to-girl for all things graphic. Dina’s loves traveling to warm places for beach-combing, snorkeling and attempts at surfing.
LIZZY CARROLL
This Bay Stater babe, Lizzy, grew up outside Boston and currently lives in the North End with her husband, Brett. When Lizzy isn’t busy helping people breathe better (as a Physician Assistant at Massachusetts Eye and Ear), she enjoys workout classes, trying new restaurants, going to the beach, fishing with Brett, and sipping on a good cocktail.
KANELLA CHRISTOPOLUS
Just a caffeine dependent, city girl in a life-long search for the ultimate espresso martini. This middle child (not by choice) knows a thing or two about big events; being from a big fat Greek family it’s basically a pre-requisite. Amidst her busy-bee lifestyle, she uses photography as her creative outlet…but admits her instagram aesthetic would be nowhere without the Lightroom App.
Delphine Doherty
This frenchy is a true craft enthusiast. A lot of her inspiration and creativity come from her many travels as a professional globe-trotter (international model that is!). When off-duty you can find Delphine creating with her kids or planning the next classroom party!
KRISTIN HAGER
Kristin brings as much enthusiasm to every event as she does into her first grade classroom where she loves being a teacher. She is known for her vivacious personality and trendy wardrobe. Fun fact she was voted best dressed in high school!
TAYLOR SILVEIRA
Taylor is known for her love of Trader Joe’s, staying active, and clean beauty products. She loves to spend her free time exploring new places to eat in the city and going to local book sales with her adorable Nana.
HANNAH ROBINS
Hannah is an adventure loving traveler whose happy place and natural habitat is a warm, sunny beach. She loves to dance and can’t sit still I a good song is playing. One of Hannah’s favorite things to do is to teach others how to get creative, and she loves to prove that everyone is capable of making amazing art!
