During this time we are continuing to work with our brides and grooms to “engage” them in weekly updates and keep them in the know. ⁣

Our beautiful wedding couple are due to wed in Newport this summer and I am honored to plan their wedding and bring all the details to life!! ⁣
⁣
Tell me your love story.... ⁣
⁣
Lizzy: Brett “buzzed” into my life on a good old dating app called @bumble! I knew he was the one when he poured out his heart to me at Lucca Restaurant after a week of not seeing each other!⁣
⁣
Brett: I knew Lizzy was the one when she showed me she cared about me more than anyone has in my entire life. She spent a whole Summer helping me move my Dad’s stuff after he passed away.⁣
⁣
The engagement went like this…. ⁣
⁣
Lizzy: Brett organized a family photo to be taken on our family vacation to Gloucester, MA (our favorite place)!! The photo was at 11am, and I literally walked out to the photo complaining about having to get all dressed up for an 11am photo only to be in our bathing suits the rest of the day. He got down on one knee when we were posing for a photo, just the two of us!! Both of our families were there to celebrate ❤️ ⁣

What’s most important at our wedding…⁣

Brett: That Lizzy is happy!⁣
⁣
Lizzy: Our ceremony, which will be at St. George’s Chapel and Brett’s high school. It means so much to be getting married at St. George’s in the presence of our family and friends. ⁣
⁣
Where we plan to go on our honeymoon… ⁣
⁣
Lizzy + Brett: We wish we knew!!!Italy with a high chance of anywhere but Italy… that one is a working progress!! When we get out again after this quarantine, the first thing we will do together is.... Hug our family and friends!! And have date night at Sail Loft (our favorite place)! And maybe even a pseudo bachelor party for Brett since his got canceled!!

You might know Elisabeth Accardi as the founder of @uponastarevents. I’ve photographed her parties and I’m blown away every single time by how awesome they are -- so much fun, and with every last detail perfectly thought out. I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone with as much energy and creativity as this woman -- I’m pretty sure she does not stop! And during this crisis, as she’s in the middle of packing to MOVE -- she still found time to make masks and mask bags for those on the front lines (with help from her friends and family!) Here she is with her husband Joe (who I hear makes fabulous pizza among other things), kids Emma and Jacob, and the world’s cutest dogs Tuukka and Bode. .

PLEASE...I NEED YOUR HELP!!! I am sewing more masks and putting them in their own personalized canvas zipper bags. I would love to add fun and witty sayings to put a 😊 on the faces of our amazing nurses and healthcare pros (and so they can distinguish who’s mask is who’s). PLEASE HELP ME COME UP WITH WITTY SAYINGS! And...for every saying you send me, I’ll put a note in the bag to let them know just who was genius enough to come up with the idea. Spread the ❤️ and share this post with your friends and family and small business!!!! Come on @kimhunter2003 you know you got this!

My late grandpa was a tailor. He was a survivor of

My late grandpa was a tailor. He was a survivor of the holocaust- in fact he was forced to make uniforms for the nazis during the war to stay alive . He was in a concentration camp in Poland. After the war he moved to NY and made a living as a Tailor in NYC’s garment district. I still remember visiting him in the showroom where models showed off the newest fashions. Years ago after his passing, I was given his sewing machine and some sewing accessories he used to sew the perfect tweed coat or corduroy skirt. When I packed his sewing machine in my car to bring it back to Massachusetts I leaned it back to fit in my car and individual chocolate chips fell out (bagfuls). This was his secret stash and I loved that I found this hidden secret:). I haven’t figured out how to use his ancient machine, but I have two sewing machines here and would love to help in the effort to make masks. I only have 1” elastic. If you have 1/8” elastic and fabric, please pass along to me (we are moving and I donated my scrap fabric last week). I’ll get up and running. I have plenty of thread❤️. Thank you.

Fun fact: These are the original clothing labels from one of the clothing lines he worked for. Luba means LOVE.
