Event Planning
Let’s face it, lately it is hard to get in “the mood” to do anything let along be creative. It is best to look back at all the accomplishments from all the events we have planned and feel rest assured these uncertain times will pass and things will eventually get back to how they were.
This Bat Mitzvah we designed and planned was the last event we celebrated March 7, 2020 right before Covid 19 struck our country (and world) for that matter.
Sure miss celebrations!
Use your MOOD BOARD to help create the Branding for your event? As an Event Designer, I love to create these boards to get clients in THE MOOD for their event! How does it make them feel? Are we seeing eye to eye on the design elements, is the event cohesive? Does it represent and reflect the person we are celebrating? Does it “FEEL GOOD”? Where do logos fit in and what items can we enhance throughout the event to create the feel?
Which brings us to…..
This is the introduction guests first have to your event. Using the colors, fonts, pattern and logos are all ways to let your guests know what they should expect at your event. It helps them make decisions of what to wear, what they should expect to eat, the formalities. Don’t overlook the stamps and inner envelope as a place to brand. Here the star is added in on the info page to provide a piece not in its entirety of the logo design. Just a hint. The options are endless when it comes to invitations but remember, everything else is to follow so give your guests a way to expect the unexpected.
Here we have a bit of a nod to the brand Vineyard Vines. We shared the PMS colors as well as the logo images and inspiration with the cake designer. She skillfully designed a cake that would incorporate patterns seen in the invitation, as well as colors and logos we created in just the right places without over-saturating the design.
Leave the guests wanting more but remembering the experience they just had! We setup each guest table with mesh white swag bags with the event logo so that they could carefully stow away their personal belongings and dance floor giveaways. We also put logos on the color changing plastic cups for guest to refill with cold drinks and watch the color change in front of their very eyes!
You could actually take each element of the pattern we designed and create a table with each symbol in the pattern, but we made things simple for guests to quickly find their tables. Table numbers with pattern in back and table number forefront. Sometimes it is best to uncomplicate things.
The Dj booth adhesive brought branding together in the middle of the dance floor. It was emphasized on either side with Plasma Screens that showed the logo in a moving pattern. There are alternate way to emphasize the branding on the dance floor such as with adhesive on the flooring or GOBO lighting on floor, walls or ceiling. All do the job of bringing guests together with the constant reminder of what mood are we trying to purvey, and who are we celebrating!
This fun backdrop was created with a green screen effect. Guests could choose their backdrop from a Soccer Stadium to a Hockey Arena to the logo and pattern backdrop and many more. Incorporating all of what the guest of honor loves was a sure way to brand and tie in the entire event.
You can even compliment photo booth with complimentary custom props we made here!
