When these two decided to tie the knot, they knew they wanted a large wedding! Not easy to start planning a 400 person wedding during the height of the pandemic, but I was certainly up for the challenge. Covid 19 in the forefront of the wedding planning but we were going to make this happen! They were getting married at the brides family church in Lowell, MA. Her parents were even married here many years ago and this large family wasn't afraid of including wedding traditions throughout the planning.
This was a big Irish wedding and the reception was at the brides home in Lowell, just around the corner from the church. We started with tenting the backyard. A plan A and a plan B weather plans to decide on the cocktail tent the week prior (which I am glad I convinced them we needed).
First steps in creating their dream wedding? Creating a design board with color and texture as well as overall aesthetic. This wedding should look timeless and have a sophisticated classic vibe. The bride and groom spent their winters skiing and they wanted to incorporate a bit of the outside inside the tent.
