Event Planning
What is the Blist you ask? A fun-filled trendsetting party for our industries amazing vendors!!! I was so excited to contact Nathalie at Whim Events (the event organizer) and find out what this years theme was so I could bring THE POP SHOP live to the guests at this once a year event!
The big question…what was I going to create for this years Blist Party? The theme was “Retrograde Masquerade”, and being that stars and moons are so on trend these days, I wanted to do something that I hadn’t seen before (of course). So, I went to the drawing board. I sketched on paper some ideas but the one that stuck for me, was doing something fun with the elements instead: Fire, Water, Air, Earth. In fact, I realized many people don’t even know their Element so maybe it was up to me to help them out!
Here is our original image of the 4 Elements.
Now what? I wasn’t sure what we were doing for these so I tested some product and realized these would look fabulous on leather! However, I quickly realized after testing on our sample leather, they looked better as is-all 4 elements lined up in a row instead of 1 element per bracelet. But how would we emphasize the guests elements. For example, I am Pisces, so my element is water. If I wore all 4 elements, how would I make the water element stand out?
and….back to the drawing board.
So we add in words? Ahhh..not sure. How about we add a crystal of each of the guests birthstone to the tip of the coordinating element triangle? After some serious trial and tons of error I figured it out!

This leather press can customize any leather products. I love using it to personalize product at events. Heat plate is hot so usually I wear gloves but since we weren’t switching out printing plate, I had a chance to show off my mood polish.
Guests chose their foil color:
All done and ready to glue gems on. 2 staff at a time helped with this step.
I decided it was best to organize the gems by their color and horoscope to make the process go smoothly. We certainly didn’t want to keep guests from waiting too long. Dina and I created the signs to help guests see their horoscope and how it relates to their element. So fun!
